a classic, and very affordable McLaren Vale shiraz made by one the top wineries in South Australia (founded in 1980 when Geoff left his family company, Thomas hardy & Sons). Rated as very good value at $22 by Huon Hooke, and 93 Points, he described it as follows : “Very deep, bold red/purple colour leads into a bouquet is red and dark fruits and subtle spices, a hint of smoky oak, then a rich, fleshy palate with fruit-sweetness and even lusciousness. A lovely wine with good freshness and brightness as well as full ripeness, and delicious, generous and very approachable flavour”. Great drinking over the next two years.
