Quick Overview

ALMOST ALL GONE From a superb vintage year, this is a lovely young cabernet showing excellent ripe fruit, nice balance and a long, drying finish. A dryer style, this well priced wine is great drinking now (give it time to breath !) and for the next three or more years.

ALMOST ALL GONE From one of the few managers that survived the tax driven Managed Investment Scheme debacle (even if the investors, aka “Growers”, lost almost everything) this is a very nice cabernet that will keep for some years. From one of the best vintages in the last decade, and showing a deep ruby colour, it has appealing aromas showing nice soft fruit, a touch of dryness and a bit of chocolate thrown in for good measure. Quite full bodied, and showing just how good the grapes of 2012 are, the ripe fruit is balanced by fresh, youthful acidity. Already supple and smooth, it has nice softness balanced by quite strong but fine-grained tannins that emerge at the finish. This is a delicious, dry young cabernet that will drink well for at least another three years. Try and open it at least 15 minutes before drinking it and pour half a glass straight away and let it sit - if it is a warm day then put the bottle in the fridge for 15 or so minutes.
