Quick Overview

A smooth and gently dry wine with loads of delicious soft fruit the highlight. The almost sweet plum flavours combine nicely with the softly drying tannin. From one of WA's top boutique wineries, this is a big, balanced wine that needs either air or cellar-time to show all it has. Really delicious.

Established by the Webster family in 1998, this winery only produces some 6,000 cases a year. It is situated at the southern end of the Margaret River region, which is substantially cooler than the northern Margaret River - this is a key factor in the production of elegant, full flavoured wines in superb vintages such as 2012. A beautiful deep red plum in colour, the nose shows aromas of sweet, ripe plums with a hint of chocolate, cassis and vanillan oak. This is a full bodied wine with lovely soft fruit balanced by gently drying tannins. Not as powerful as the 2011 this is a very attractive, smooth and supple wine highlighted by that excellent soft fruit. As the fine grained tannins build in the mouth, the finish is long and quite dry. This is a really delicious wine that benefits by being decanted or poured from glass to glass a few times when opened.
