Quick Overview

Made from shiraz this is a beautiful dark coral-pink in colour, and shows delicious sweet, soft red-fruit flavours with a gently dry finish. A touch heavier than some rosé’s it is smooth and balanced and outstanding value at just $11.50 particularly when Wine Selectors had this label at $18.50 a bottle.

Langhorne Creek is a famous shiraz area, and some of the shiraz grapes make rather good rosé’s, as this bargain priced one from Pioneer Road demonstrates. A lovely, deep, clear coral pink in colour, it has aromas of soft and ripe red fruit. It is slightly heavier than some rosé’s but is smooth and balanced and again shows soft, ripe red fruits with nice gentle acid balancing the strawberry and cherry elements. This is a good and satisfying rosé drinking well, and our price of just $11.50 makes it taste even better, particularly when groups such as Wine Selectors have had this range of Pioneer Road wines for sale at $18.50. Great value drinking..
